Abstract :
To predict and provide the "confidence" that whether all the quality requirements needed can be satisfied in mass customization, a virtual mass customization quality assurance (MCQA) system was built in the Flexsim environment. Then the Flexsim based system was extended in several ways. First, use FlexScript/C++ to implement the quality assurance simulation, the quality monitoring and quality control. Second, use Excel commands combined with macro-commands to extend its quality management function. Third, use Socket and ODBC respectively for the real-time data communication and nonreal-time database sharing. Finally, build a self-defined GUI to integrate all the functional modules. Some pivotal source codes of the system were also given.
