Abstract :
Expound the problems and danger of excessive current impulse through the capacitor when the parallel power quality conditioner starts charging. Two control strategies is discussed and compared. One method uses a current limiting resistor at the charging circuit and the other uses an auxiliary charging circuit. Both of these methods can effectively guarantee the safety of the device when it is put into operation.
