  • Abstract
Based on the stratified observed data of flow velocity and sediment concentration of two consecutive tidal cycles at 29 stations in the tidal channels of Jiangsu radial sand bars, this paper establishes a series of dynamic relational expressions of vertical mean sediment concentration in the tidal channels of radial sand ridges with the measured data. The studies show that these vertical mean expression relations are slightly different in different water channels, so are the vertical mean expression relations corresponding to flood tide and ebb tide. These relations reflect the complexity of the current and dynamic environment in the sea area of radial sand bars as well as revealing the complexity of sediment movement at the same time. The results of these studies are helpful to the understanding and awareness of the interaction of tidal current - sediment and the movement mechanism of suspended sediment.
