  • Abstract
Thermal fragmentation of Jixi bituminous coal was analyzed by using a bench-scaled fixed bed. The results show specific characteristics of fragmentation during pyrolysis at 750-850°C. Raising temperature favors increasing the fragmentation ratio (Nf) and the fragmentation index (Sf), while hardly benefits the primary fragmentation rate (Pf) going up. With particles increasing, Particles of 6-8 mm only embody Nf growing, but decreasing in Pf and Sf at 800°C.
