  • Abstract
    The cascade multilevel inverter output performance such as equivalent switch frequency, the number of output level and distribution of harmonic is relationship with carrier-shifted angle. So research on the relationship of cascade multilevel inverter with carrier-shifted mode will contribute to optimization design and improve its performance. Based on this, two different carrier-shifted modes of 1800/N and 3600/N are analyzed through mathematics illation and some conclusions are gotten. The inverter output performance is relation with the number of cascade unit. When the number of cascade unit is odd, the output performance will be little different, but if the number of cascade unit is even, the output performance of two carrier-shifted modes will be different, the equivalent carrier-frequency, harmonic distributing and number of output level will be changed. Finally, many simulation and experiment demonstrates the validity of some conclusion.
