Abstract
To solve the effect of the aperture fill time of the stepped chirp phased array radar on the range profile, a grouping phase matching method of the pulse trains is presented in this paper. Both the bias phasing and the centre phasing of the phased array radar stepped chirp signal are analyzed firstly, then the effect of the centre phasing on the range profile is analyzed, which come forth the ghost image. At last the grouping criterion about the centre phase matching is advanced. Simulation results prove the feasibility of the presented method.
