Abstract :
The location method using time differences of arrival (TDOA) from multiple stations has some remarkable advantages, such as high positioning accuracy, strong flexibility of placement of stations. Based on location method using time differences of arrival from multiple stations, the paper proposes a hybrid location method combining method of crossing location and time difference localization. The method measures the azimuth of targets by measuring time differences using short baseline, and measures the time differences using long baseline. Afterward, the position of targets can be obtained. The simulation shows that the location method has high positioning accuracy, and it significantly reduces the complexity of synchronization of time and data among stations.
