Abstract :
The Web GIS based visualization provides a new way to display the information in the internet and plays an important role in the infectious disease prevention. This paper presents a Web GIS based information visualization platform for the infectious disease information management. The J2EE based architecture is adopted to construct a distrusted system infrastructure. The infectious disease information contained the geo-referenced data, such as specific location, area code, latitude and longitude, street address, and geopolitical boundaries can be visualized with GIS distribution maps. With the infectious disease information is converted to graphics and visual form, the infectious disease information can be observed more effectively to deal with the related theory, methods and techniques for the infectious disease prevention. The system infrastructure, functions, system integration, and some key technology are also discussed in the paper. The experiments show that the proposed visualization platform has the important practical value for constructing the visible infectious disease information system.
