The Study of Implementation Technology of JDF-Based Printing ERP System

The digital production and information management represent the new development direction of printing enterprises. As the core of digital printing, job definition format (JDF) connects prepress, print, and post-press in a whole. As the core of information management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is the platform which integrates all resources of the enterprise and provides scheme or control for enterprise. In the paper we study the key technology to build a JDF-based ERP system for printing enterprises. By using Java technology, an ERP system is developed which can be used on the Internet and integrated with the digital workflow based on JDF in printing production.
