Abstract :
Selecting an appropriate air-conditioning system for villa is important for maintaining a comfortable indoor environment, energy saving and environmental protection, etc. The paper gives a study on selection of air-conditioning system for villa based on value engineering methodology. According to the principle of value engineering, a mathematical model for selection of villa air-conditioning system is constructed. The model mainly deals with the function analysis of villa air-conditioning system and formulates a value engineering method to evaluate villa air-conditioning system schemes. Value index which combines the technical and economic characters of schemes is used as an evaluation parameter to select the optimal scheme. An application case is studied using the evaluation model, and the selected scheme is in line with the actual engineering.
