Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to explore three-dimensional (3D) visualization methods of flow unit in oil block. Using the theory and methods of petroleum geology, reservoir sedimentology, mathematical geology, computer graphics, through analyzing special blocks of oil field and block division into small layers, the physical parameters of reservoir were studied about the regularity of their inherent law, the comprehensive judgment and clustering method to determine the division of flow units were proposed. A geological volume visualization model and the corresponding mathematical model to generate field data for visualization were built, as well as modeling for line, surface and irregular geological volume in the process of a flow unit visualization. The 3D visualization of flow units was realized via the computer programming sampled the Gao104-5 blocks data.
