Abstract :
With introduction of restructuring in power systems and with increasing penetration of distributed generation resources in distribution network it has been necessary to have suitable method for allocating distribution network loss to consumers and DGs. Most of reported methods for loss allocation is for transmission network and there isn´t any comprehensive method for distribution network loss allocation. In this paper first using z-bus loss allocation method which is one of the exact techniques for transmission loss allocation, total system loss has been allocated between all of system busses and then using heuristic formula allocated loss to the slack bus has been shared among other system busses. The proposed method is simple and is based on size and location of the resources connected to the system. An example of application of proposed method is shown to confirm its efficiency.
