Distributed energy resources and efficient utilisation of electricity

Given the pressures to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and develop sustainable means of producing electricity, there has never been a more important time to turn our focus towards distributed energy resources and the efficient utilisation of electricity. This year we have subtly changed the title of Session 4 in order to reflect the fact that ‘distributed energy resources’ (rather than simply ‘distributed generation’) and ‘efficient utilisation’ (rather than simply ‘management and utilisation’) better describe the opportunities and challenges we now face.
