Abstract
Today many powerful programs for the calculation of magnetic and electric fields concerning one or more sources (e.g. high voltage overhead power lines, cables, transformer, electric appliances, base loads,...) are available. The crucial problem is that these programs are designed for the calculation of electromagnetic fields concerning one fundamental frequency and cannot consider sources with different frequencies or harmonics, as required in the "guidelines for limiting exposure to time-varying electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields (up to 300 GHz)" published by ICNIRP. This publication demonstrates a quick and efficient method to considerate electric and magnetic fields of several sources with different fundamental frequencies including harmonics.
