The road to common assessment methods

Each time a user relies on an assessment that is done by an external body (either 1^st or 3^rd party), it should request for standardized methods such as : - Supplier´s Declaration of Conformity (IEC 17050) for 1^st party assessment, - Product Certification (EN 45011 = IEC 65) for 3^rd party assessment, - Accreditation (IEC 17011) whenever possible (for Labs and Certification Bodies). Such methods are effective to avoid test repetitions, and to clarify responsibility borderlines between stakeholders.
