Abstract :
This paper investigates the steady state analysis of a wind energy driven self excited induction generator (SEIG) connected to an unified supply network. The analysis here taking the saturation effect into consideration and the generator is to be subjected to a control strategy which the stator current is kept constant. This control strategy is given by controlling the inverter firing advance angle, which obtained an approximate generated voltage from generator. In this analysis a new method for determining the frequency of self excitation under load is obtained. This new method is very easier to calculate the self excitation frequency than the previous methods which used in different references.
