  • Abstract
    The utilization of Photovoltaic/Diesel hybrid system in remote locations that far from utility grids is common and economically justified. The PV output power is fluctuating, due to the fluctuation of solar insolation and the load dynamics. So, the frequency and magnitude of the load voltage will vary accordingly, which is not desired. In this paper, an innovative and robust control scheme for the hybrid photovoltaic-Diesel single phase stand alone system that maintains the desired frequency and load voltage irrespective the solar radiation of load dynamics as well as extracts the maximum power from the PV array is proposed. The proposed scheme is tested for many severe cases. Simulation results of the tested cases are shown in the paper.
