  • Abstract
    In this paper, a method for estimating the fault location on transmission lines using the positive and zero sequences of fault voltages signals is presented. The transmission line is considered firstly, as series impedance and then both series and shunt impedances effects are taken into account. Effectiveness of the value of the fault resistance has been investigated. Voltages signals are obtained using several simulation studies developed through the use of MATLAB6.5-Simulink Toolbox.
