  • Abstract
Fault location on transmission lines is one of the most important aspects that face the power engineering. In this paper, the authors tried to verify experimentally a method for estimating the fault location using positive and zero sequences during fault signals. A model of a transmission line was designed. Many laboratory sets up such as positive and zero sequence voltage filters were designed too. Effectiveness of shunt capacitance as well as different values of fault resistances was investigated.
