Abstract :
A tool, called ARDK (augmented reality development kit), which has more advantages than former tools of this kind, is developed and represented in this paper. The advantages over others are as follows: without setting internal parameters of camera ahead of time, ARDK allows the system to automatically compute them at the real-time during the operating. It also solves the problem of being unable to change the internal parameters of camera when the system is running. This tool adopts a developed camera pose tracking method based on homography matrix to settle the problem of registration when the mark is partly covered, and also enables the system to avoid the error from frames´ accumulation. This paper illustrates the camera pose tracking algorithm and the experiment results, as well as a virtual residential area planning system based on the augmented reality, which is completed by using ARDK.
