Abstract :
This paper provides a simple implementation of transcoder in terms of mixed commitments. A base layer set (BLset) in the mixed commitment mediated transcoder is encoded by extractable keys (xKeys) while an enhanced layer set (ELset) is encoded by equivocable keys (eKeys). This means that we can use simple notions of extractable and equivocable keys instead of complex notions of hard and soft commitments. The mixed-commitment mediated transcoder benefits us to encode arbitrary length of streams and thus enable us to provide alternative flexible implementation of transcoder in terms of the mercurial commitment schemes.
