Abstract :
Wavelet analysis has been developed a mathematical branch. It has been a powerful tool for solving many complicated engineering problems. In this article, the notion of vector-valued multiresolution analysis is introduced and the definition of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets. A necessary and sufficient condition on the existence of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is given by using paraunitary vector filter bank theory. A novel method for constructing a class of finitely supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is proposed.
