Abstract :
With the space exploring, the number of the aircrafts in orbit has been increasing, and how to reduce the growth rate of space debris or detect or remove them is urgent. Therefore, the space debris detection algorithm research has become one of key technologies in space debris research. For the traditional algorithms of the target detection are limited in calculating, processing, operating etc. So these algorithms can not content the space requirement, such as dynamic and real-time requirement. On the basis of the research on mathematic morphology and its applications, we bring forward a space debris detection algorithm based on mathematic morphology. This algorithm has the advantages, such as non-linear, parallel processing, real-time, feasible operating etc. And the experiment shows that this algorithm is an effective method to detect space debris.
