Abstract :
Single-polarization single-mode(SPSM) operation over a wavelength range from 1.43 to 2.4µm is achieved in a holey fiber based on resonant coupling effect. The structure shows superiority in beam quality and good modal compatibility with SMF owing to its symmetric central core region and 78µm2 effective area at 1550nm.
