    This paper proposed the development of servo motors´ status monitoring system for multi-level carpet tufting machine. Through analyzing the hardware structure of jacquard control system of tufted carpet machine, design the hardware structure of online monitoring system by expanding original structure. The online monitoring system real-time read the runtime information through CAN bus, and analysis these data through mathematical analysis to evaluate the motors running status. Based on the hardware structure and control logic developed the monitoring system software with C++ language. The developed system can online monitor the condition of servo motors and facilitate the installation, debugging and malfunction detection of servo motors in jacquard mechanisms of carpet tufting machines.
