Abstract :
Radius is a standard authentication and accounting protocol. RADIUS servers and Radius accounting servers are configured with particular attributes. But these attributes above may not provide enough servers in different facilities. The essay describes how to realize the function of G-8000 vendor specific attributes (VSAs) on the Radius server. Radius attribute 26 is for vendor-specific information and is able to accept VSAs. Defining VSAs for use in policies is a powerful and flexible way for service providers to enhance mang Radius services and enterprises to better manage their networks. The G-8000 VSAs are intended to provide location information to the backend processing system or to deliver service type information back to the Radius client. The implementation method is simple, but it is very useful to obtain many new products´ VSAs on the Radius server.
