  • Abstract
Martin Goose is a process safety specialist who took early retirement from the Health and Safety Executive after 30 years dealing, primarily, with the major hazards sector. During his last 5 years with HSE he was head of the Major Hazards Assessment Unit and then the Process Safety Corporate Topic Group and Process Safety Specialist Pool. His last task within HSE was to be part of the Buncefield Investigation Team. He continues to be active in Safety and Loss Prevention as a committee member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers Subject Group on that topic, and in consultancy through WSAtkins and RPSrisk. Within the Institution of Chemical Engineers he is one of the panel of ChemEnvoys representing the profession to the media on major hazard safety issues.
