  • Abstract
    A compact low-offset voltage and low power rail-to-rail output buffer for TFT-LCD panel is presented in this paper. Compared to other push-pull output buffers, the proposed output buffer has self-bias circuit which can achieve the smaller area and the lower power consumption. Two complementary push-pull output buffers drive a pair of column lines realize the rail-to-rail driver construction. In addition, this work adds offset averaging technique to reduce the offset voltage, so it is adapted to high resolution TFT-LCD panel. The proposed output buffer amplifier is implemented in 0.35 ¿m CMOS 2-poly 4-metal process technology and simulated by HSPICE.
