Abstract
An offset cancellation CMOS variable gain amplifier (VGA) is presented in this paper. Four input terminals full differential operational transconductance amplifier is used for the proposed VGA. The input signal offset is suppressed by the AC coupling circuitry. Two-stage VGA is proposed for GPS receiver. The proposed design is fabricated in 0.18 ¿m CMOS process. The gain range of VGA is from 6 dB to 48 dB with 6 dB gain step, the total power consumption is 3.6 mW.
