As an effective way to share corporate social responsibility, it is significant for enterprise to make contributions. In order to explore characteristics of corporate donations, the research used data from 290 enterprises in Yangtze river delta of China involved in contribution between 2004 and 2006. Based on the descriptive statistics analysis, the results are as follows: (1) the average annual amount of corporate donations takes on a trend of ??the middle is high, while both sides are low??; (2) enterprises have a tendency to donate in various forms; (3) the fields of corporate donations cover a wide range and are more related to the industry; (4) enterprises are willing to choose trusted and famous non-profit organizations to donate. In general, foreign enterprises are better than domestic ones in donation strategy.
