Abstract
EMC testing of products are essential requirement for export to Europe. This requirement covers emission as well as immunity testing. Compliance to emission requirement needs emission below to the limit line of a product specification. Compliance can be achieved by using better design practices & retrofit practices after the design of product. Control panel of elevator control the activities of elevator. Control panel uses the drive to control the movement of lift. This drive generates the variable frequency supply feed to control the speed of lift according to desired requirement. Activities of this drive is controlled/managed by the micro pr & program routine. The drive conducts emission & result it both conducted & radiated emission. Initially the system was not complying the requirement & after diagnostic the certain retrofit components has been advised to comply the requirement. This article discussed about the causes of non compliance & retrofit solution provided to indentor.
