Abstract :
Switched mode power supplies (SMPSs) have been always formidable source of radiated and conducted emissions. Although, the analytical techniques were used to predict the sources of conventional EMI control techniques and accordingly mitigation techniques were incorporated to reduce electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility of SMPS. But it was observed during the EMC compliance testing that simple enigmatic ignorances might lead in difficult situations to comply with military requirements. In this a paper a case history diagnostics & trouble shooting of a SMPS is briefly discussed.
