Abstract :
The Array antennas are very useful to produce well-defined radiation beam shapes. Sufficient literature is available to produce narrow beams from arrays. However, very few papers are available to obtain the shaped beams. Most of the papers are centered around the amplitude only control methods. Such methods are suitable only for non-scan applications. In view of this such patterns are generated using the methods suitable for both scan and non-scan applications. A suitable phase distribution is obtained for the generation of a few sector beams. The patterns are presented for the arrays of non-isotropic elements in particular, the array of slot radiators.
