As the software engineering graduates usually have shortcomings in practice ability, scientific research quality and team cooperation ability, and then their employments are affected. This paper presents a new training model of practical ability for software engineering majors. For software engineering majors, among four years, different stages have different training programs of practical ability. The training model and goals of each stage are introduced in detail. Some viewpoints are proposed in this paper such as undergraduate students´ supervisor rule, students´ scientific research institutionalization and the combination of teachers´ scientific research team with students´ practice group. The model is feasible and effective which is proved in practice.
