Abstract
A new dynamic model considering effects of metal particle for pile hammer filled with metal particle (PHFMP)impacting is presented, which uses a lumped mass for the metal particles, and stiffness of a spring for impact stiffness, which is acquired through linear processing for impacting between metal particles and hammer, based on Hertz theorem. The impact force on pile head by numeric analysis is mostly equal to the test results, which demonstrates the correctness of the model. The model supplies a mathematical model for optimization design of pile hammer, and numeric analysis of particles effects for impact force.
