Abstract :
Based on the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) theory, a worker-oriented supporting module in Statistical Process Control (SPC) system is developed. This module can provide effective suggestions for quality problems arising from the processes on the assembly line with a search engine according to the inner knowledgebase. Combining FMEA and knowledgebase, this module also can offer the end-users a series of suggestions which can help workers in solving problem through reasoning and analyzing. The merit of this module is to find the potential defects during the manufacturing process in advance and to guide the end-users with reasonable operation suggestions.
