Abstract
In this presentation, an introduction to nanostructures is presented, followed by a discussion on the different quantum dots growth methods - Frank-van der Merwe growth, Stranski-Krastanow growth, self-assembly and patterning. Devices such as self-assembled quantum dot lasers and patterned quantum dot lasers are then addressed.
