Abstract
Radio-over-fibre phase contrast imaging is a new technique for object characterization in hostile environments. Commercially-available 1550 nm/1310 nm VCSELs and a reflective electro-absorption transducer offer sub-mm resolution over 1 km of SMF in a 3.1-5 GHz bandwidth.
