Abstract :
A novel high speed and low power CMOS balanced comparator circuit is proposed and implemented to an 8-bit fully parallel A/D converter IC. A 20MHz sampling rate with 350mW power dissipation from a single 5V power supply has been realized. The IC showed ±1/2LSB integral linearity to 8-bit conversion without any offset cancelling technique.
