Abstract :
A 100v bipolar IC is capable of true HiFi performance and drives external transistor sets or dorlingtons in 2*15W to 2*100W audio amplifiers. This driver-IC integrates the following functions: 1) A dual high performance operational amplifier for the audio signal to drive the power stages. 2) Control loop to control the quiescent current in the power stages without using temperature-sense-elements and avoiding adjustment. 3) Current limitation circuitry to monitor the power stage currents. 4) mute/standby - functions to disconnect the audio source (mute) and to obtain a low standby current for the power stage (standby).
