  • Abstract
    A chip is described that performs and evaluates a 16 × 16 pixel comparison for application in pattern recognition systems. The data input format and the evaluation circuits are described. The chip has been realized in a 2 ¿m NMOS process and operates at 18 MHz, thus performing 4 Giga pixel-operations per second.
