Abstract :
In this work, it has been attempted to integrate on a single chip a self-contained function to recognize the input spoken word. The basic function is a combination of phoneme likelihood calculation based on linear prediction coding (LPC) and flag-bit-controlled dynamic time warping. Furthermore, this LSI is designed to control a whole speech recognition system detecting the amplitude of voice power. A system with this LSI can be designed in an extremely simple form. Furthermore, the resulting system will attain sufficient ability to recognize about 200 vocabulary with over 99 % accuracy in real time.
