Abstract
The fast progress of MOS-VLSI-techniques leads to new application areas of integrated circuits. One of these areas is the digital video signal processing for amplitude and also frequency modulated signals in consumer systems. The key components for going into this area are fast A/D and D/A-converters realized in the same technology as the processing and control units as well as fast and low power arithmetic components.
