Abstract
This new integrated circuit was initially designed for switch-mode control in consumer type power supplies however it has been proved very attractive also for industrial or professional applications. Special care has been taken in the design to fit the optimal base current conditions in power transistor switching operations, specially taking account of possible large dispersion of electrical characteristics of this transistor. So it provides the safety warranty against external risks: for example, over-currents and voltages.
