  • Abstract
The fractal properties of the traffic under different scales have quite an impact on network performance. So it is important for Internet network engineering to study the traffic model which can accurately describe the singularity of the traffic under small time/space scales and the long range dependence under large time/space scales. This essay, combined with the development of the traffic study, analyzes the data of a campus network traffic based on wavelet technology, and proves the self-similarity and multi-fractal characteristics of the arriving traffic.
