Research on Intelligent Tutoring System Based on Affective Model

Abstract :
The traditional tutoring system has paid attention to learner´s cognitive element and neglected learner´s emotion. To solve the lack of the emotional interaction in e-learning, the paper proposes a model of intelligent tutoring system based on affective computing. In the model, four kinds of basic emotion are described, mood and emotion are defined and the mapping between emotion and learning psychology is established. The teaching agent is designed and the system is realized by using the facial expression recognition method.
