Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel soft decision demapping algorithm of 16-Amplitude Phase Shift Keying (16-APSK) signals in AWGN channels. The proposed algorithm has a lower complexity compared with the well-known Log-Max algorithm. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm degrades little in BER performance when it is implemented with Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes.
