Abstract :
A novel pulse design method for ultra wideband (UWB) communication is presented. The Gaussian pulses with the diverse variance factors are randomly selected as basis functions. The corresponding power spectral density (PSD) of linear combination pulse which complies with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulation is obtained by adjusting the parameters such as variance and the value of the amplitude spectral. Then, combination factors are calculated by the solution of algebraic equation group of linear combination amplitude spectral. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of this method.
