Requirement elicitation of Enterprise Informationization from view of VCA

Requirements elicitation and analysis is intended to gain knowledge about users´ requirements and the information system environment. Requirement analysts should understand the application domain, demands, and constraints of the project clearly in order to make realistic software size and effort estimates, and to have a solid foundation for defining contract requirements. Although many specialized models, analysis techniques for requirement elicitation have been provided, it is crucial important to find approaches that contribute to eliminate the knowledge gap between enterprises´ demands and Enterprise-Informatization software developers. A requirement elicitation conceptual model based on VCA (Value Chain Analysis), is investigated to overcome the cognitive limitations that cause analysts to gather inadequate and inaccurate requirements. The procedural steps of requirement elicitation for Enterprise Informatization are explained to help analysts gaining the acquisition of meaningful requirements. From management perspective, the requirement elicitation conceptual model would be a beneficial complement to the technical methods of requirement elicitation and have a positive impact on the success of Enterprise Informationization.
