Abstract :
Model-based performance analysis approaches have gains a lot of attention to researchers when studying distributed web applications in quantitative aspect. But high-level models without detailed system information could lead to misleading results. Therefore, we propose a scenario-based performance analysis method as a supplement. We use a common distributed web application when describing our approach. The system implements the real estate searching and buying features in a toolkit that helps the users to easily buy their real estate. In this paper, a model for system architecture is first presented based on queueing network with focus on metric of response time. Then numerical results and analysis are presented. Finally, ideas on analyzing performance based on scenario using Petri nets are provided.
